Before:
Now before I go further, I have to address the awfulness of my recent "before" photos. I cannot get my point and shoot camera to have any focus. If anyone has any ideas, let me know...I haven't dropped it, etc. I think it's DOA, but maybe not?
So here is the after. I used oil based primer, a neutral white, distressing and then used Jacobean stain by Minwax to glaze.
And one with the unfinished chair
I'm super happy with how it turned out and I think it'd look amazing in a large entry!

just gorgeous! but what's up with the before pics? ;) ha ha! i think it helps to make the after much more dramatic.
G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S! I need to be brave like you and just use primer with some wax, glaze etc. :) Your afters are stunning.

I love the table "after". Wish it could be in my dining room. Since it can't, and I've been thinking about rehab'ing my own table, I have to say your results are very inspiring ... and it looks like that's your goal for your blog, so congrats! That table has a high-end swedish design feel to me, so wonderful. I'm following, you've got great ideas.

I just realized that every time you say you finished something in "Jacobean"...I've been thinking you were talking about Jacobean wax (Fiddes) but here you said Minwax glaze/stain? :-( Now I'm confused and worried that everything that I thought was accomplished with the wax, was actually a glaze/stain? But yet I know you use Fiddes? BTW I FINALLY GOT MY OWN!!! My stepmom knew how much I wanted to try the wax so she ordered it online and showed up at my house last night with it! I thought of you! Lol! Thank you for all of your inspiration!
