This little gal came to me already painted...but painted badly. Drips, chips, you name it. It just took 2 coats of white and one round of glaze to glam her up. She's all set to go to Carver Junk Company this week for their monthly sale this weekend! I kept the original pulls because they just looked right with the keyhole.
My head is spinning between blogging, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. I have no idea where to focus more of my energy. I just know that blogging about pieces has recently become more work than fun. How do you juggle all of the social media? ~Allison
The desk looks great! I keep blogging from feeling like work by only posting a redo once a week, this way no pressure about getting something done for a post (I started painting months before blogging so I am ahead of myself). I also just have the one redo post to link at parties for the week and that's it--no instagram or facebook. Don't pressure yourself into more than you can handle. Who says you have to do all that anyway?
I have been following you for longer than I have been blogging, but I am going to throw some things out there... I have read a few blog 101/tip posts, and they all recommended turning your pinterest account to a "business" account. This has helped me a lot. I post each blog to a board that is title with the name of my blog. That was when people pin it always goes back to the same place. After posting a blog I view it and share it to my fb page, pinterest, and ig three (well, six after clicking send) clicks and I'm done. I have been doing it only this way so it doesn't seem a hassle to me, but it could be a pain to some. I'm interested to see other comments here...
I don't juggle yet--I have a full-time job, and that takes priority. I just do what I can, when I can. Since I make about the same amount of money writing as I do in furniture, I have to keep up the blog so that I have tear sheets to show my clients. When I retire from teaching? Let the games begin! We will be having some fun then! The desk is great--love the legs!

Love your desk! ... And I'm not juggling very well. Blogging is number one and Pinterest is number two on the priority list. I totally ignore all the rest. But people keep telling me that I should be doing Facebook. There's just not enough time!

Allison another lovely makeover, those curvy legs are precious.
Love this table. What a gem! It should go quickly.
Have a wonderful week,

Social media is killing me - I feel addicted to everything and sometimes have to just turn it all off!
Love this desk - beautiful legs!
