First up, this little stool that I finished a few weeks ago, but it's so small that I didn't think it deserved it's own blog entry.

Next is a sewing table that I found at a thrift store. It had already been gutted, so that's a bonus! I glued the top down with Gorilla glue because, without the weight of the sewing machine, it's easily tipped over when open.

After some white paint and gold Rub-n-Buff:
Hope you are all staying cool and had a fabulous 4th of July!!

Both look amazing. The stripes are such a creative idea. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI've certainly lost my painting mojo...it's just too hot!! Your tables look great :)
ReplyDeleteYour a brave girl going out in that heat!
ReplyDeleteLOVE both pieces and the stripes are teriffic!
Oh humidity. I'm not going to lie, 110+ in Arizona is not all that fun but at least it's not even close to 70% humidity! You are a pro for painting in that weather! That little rub n' buff table is fantastic. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the top of your sewing table you did!! The only rub-n-buff I've seen is in tiny little tubes- is that what you used?? It looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYour tables turned out amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI just did a sewing table ( last week ) almost identical to yours!
Have a good one
Hugs,
Suzan

Love the stripes - my daughter would love them too (but she's at the beach so I can't show her right now). We just moved into our new home, and she wanted stripes on her wall. They came out great and we are looking for a side table next to her sofa. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI am loving those stripes! But seriously girl, get out of that heat!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these transformations are really awesome. My favorite is the sewing table, but both are really gorgeous, I love your work and am fan of your projects.
ReplyDeleteLove the stripes. Did you use rub n buff for the gold stripes? It turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI love the white and gold together... Very beautifully done ! Found you at FlamingoToes.com link up party. Thanks for sharing. I might have to try stripes on my next project now ! :)
