Today's makeover isn't quite as exciting, but alas, school (finally!) starts on Tuesday and we've been cramming in swimming, boating and more swimming. I am so jazzed that I'll have a little more time to work on furniture.
This summer, most of my time has been filled with these three hooligans:
Mr. J, almost 7 and starting 1st Grade:
Mr. C, 5 1/3, Starting Kindergarten:
Mr. D, age 3, preschool
Ok, on to what you really stopped by for. Today I'm showing you this little table I recently picked up:
The first go around, I didn't love, so I redid it....but you have to guess which is the finished table! I'll tell you in my next post which one I ended up with, but tell me which you prefer!
Finish #1
Finish #2
Which do you prefer?
~Allison
Wow! That's a really hard decision! My first instinct is the gray finish....but....it sort of depends on where this table will be used. The cream is more versatile and I LOVE the drawer pull on it! I am about to paint two end tables and a coffee table that look very similar to the original. In my room, the cream is what will work best. LOVE that gray though...I am into gray right now! ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteBoth versions look great, but I think I like the gray better. The distressing looks great. And, your boys are precious! Enjoy your Labor Day! Life to the full, Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle.com
ReplyDeletethey both look awesome, but i am a grayish person.... love the gray!
ReplyDeleteLike the gray the best, drawer pull on cream is kinda overpowering.
ReplyDeleteCute boys, somebody has been visited by the tooth fairy alot lately. LOL.
I have the same table in the garage awaiting a makeover. thanks for making my decision easier, I love the grey one, I am a big fan of white, but with this table the grey won out. I also thought the knob on the white table was a little overpowering.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are adorable
Allison congrats on all the twin bed traffic - I've been seeing it featured everywhere! And you deserve it too. I'm guessing the grey one here but I do like to cream myself. Just like you I'm overly excited about school starting and gaining back a little 'mom time', it's been a long 12 weeks with these kids!
ReplyDeleteThose are both beautiful and I think your choice of knobs on each one is spectacular! I would go with white in a less formal room and gray in a more formal one. Your boys are very handsome - especially the youngest - Mr. D? He's going to be a real heartbreaker one day! Good luck with THAT! :) You'll have young giggling girls all around your house all the time - believe me I know - I have 2 heartbreakers myself.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Can I first tell you that your boys are just adorable! I bet they really keep you hopping and keep you smiling. What fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that table and both finishes are great but I prefer the white.
They both look great. I'm drawn to the white one with the great flower shaped knob but both look great. I guess it really depends on where it's going. With three boys around I'd be tempted to go to the gray! Your boys are adorable- love the toothless smile!
ReplyDeleteI like the second one best. It looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBoth are pretty so it's hard to pick a favourite. But I really like the crystal knob on the gray one so I would have to go with the gray finish.
ReplyDeleteThe rose pull on the white version is stunning, but I'm digging all the color on the top of the grey one. I prefer grey!
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely. I think I like the cream one better, but maybe that's just because I could work it into the colors in my home a little easier! Such creativity to come up with two really wonderful looks for the same piece!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, both are wonderful but I think I'd have to go with the off white! Love that rose knob!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I have to choose......I'll take them both. Have a great Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the second one. They are both great so I guess it's a personal choice thing. Cute little guys you have BTW.
ReplyDeleteI would have to go with the off white!
