Two Tone Dresser Reveal

This little dresser has been just waiting for a makeover. I got it along with the bed that I made into a bench and this vanity that I love (but still hasn't sold!). It was a great bedroom set at one point, but must've been left in a humid place because the veneer was a MESS.

Before

After 2 coats of white paint, lightly sanding and waxing the top with a light tinted wax and glazing the body with dark walnut stain.

This one will be available through Carver Junk Company!

  1. Allison so charming and much more genuine now, the paint really updates the piece without loosing those tiny style bits. Nicely done.

  3. I have been following your blog for a while and love to see the transformations that you reveal! I have a question though, when you write about a lightly tinted wax, what do you mean specifically?
I am interested in trying my hand at a little rehab of my own and don't want to royally mess up!

  6. Beautiful! I wouldn't have thought this was white paint with a walnut glaze. Did you use latex paint or chalk paint? I love it!
