Desk Revival

I have been MIA for a few weeks. Still working on pieces, but focusing more on being the mom I want to be instead of stressing about what's not getting done. The kids go back to school in a few weeks and I'm hopeful that my productivity will be back :)

A longtime friend picked this piece off Craigslist for her son who is starting Kindergarten.

He has a quilt in his room with reds, blues, greens and browns. I went with a light gray green...and it is more green than the photos show. The rest of his bedroom set is cherry, so I stripped the top and used Minwax Cherry stain.

Her son picked out Lion Head pulls and he's very excited!

I miss my readers but am having a fabulous time with the kids this summer! See you all soon!
