Monday morning, I dropped in to the local Goodwill...which is notorious for high pricing on decent furniture. But for whatever reason, this was reasonably priced.
The finish was flaking off the top (this pic was after I sanded down the top), so I dragged had my husband help me bring it outside and sanded it down. I love using Dark Walnut stain, but for some reason, the top on this one wanted a Cherry finish. I grabbed this AMAZING color from the free bin at the local hardware. It looks green when wet, but dries to an amazing dark gray!
This one is already sold! Carver Junk Company does great business! Check them out if you have time! ~Allison
Allison that is a beauty and glad to hear you got it for a decent price. Love the federal detail and the color you choose is perfect (and free even better :))
Wow! I love that color combination. I feel like gray is the new black for me this fall. I keep wanting to introduce gray elements into my decorating projects.
What a handsome piece! Amazing amazing job as usual Allison! Does that color have a name...I want it!
