She blogged about a thrift store chair earlier this week and I fell in love instantly. You can read about it here because I tried to copy the picture and I didn't get it to work.
I'm not going to say I put a lot of thought into how I redid this chair because I flat out copied Kate's chair. But I have heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I hope she takes it that way. Here is the before, I had already taken off the nasty seat cover as my father-in-law needed to build a new support in the seat.
I did do a few things differently.
Kate brush painted her chair. I sprayed it with Krylon Peekaboo blue.
She used actual gold leaf and I used Rub n Buff in gold and then Krylon's touch up pen. I used the pen over the rub-n-buff because it lightened it up and made it brighter.
She chose a blue fabric and I went with an off white with gold tones.
