Trio of Tables: Unify with Paint

I found these two nightstands at a garage sale. Obviously they are not a matching set, but that wasn't going to stop me from making them look like they match. Then Shayne brought me the little 2 tier table and we thought they should all have the same finish.

White paint, no distressing, and dark walnut stain as a glaze. I filled the original hardward holes and added some brass vintage pulls. LOVE!

Of all the finishes I do, this one sells the best. You can't go wrong with dark walnut stain as a glaze!

  2. Love love love those pieces! How do you mix the stain to make your glaze? I've been scared to use the stain as a glaze so far...I'm afraid it won't wipe off easily and ruin my pretty white pieces. Am I being dumb to be nervous?? lol.

  4. Totally agree about the power of paint. It's amazing how unified stuff can look when it's all the same color.
