Surprise Pop of Color

I found this sewing table at a garage sale for $5.00. FIVE bucks. Her legs are divine...but she still had a bunch of parts inside her that weren't needed. I looked at it for days trying to figure out how to take the guts out. My father-in-law looked at it, and 15 minutes later, the guts were gone. I heart him.

Picture this table as a dried out, dirty from sitting outside for years, wooden piece.

Wouldn't it be divine if there was a little shelf in there? Yeah...that's not in my skill set yet...but it should be!

Isn't it perfect for an entry table or a little bar??

Until you can get a real shelf, is there a way you could slide in a piece of wood or maybe a large cookie sheet or something to make the inside more functional? Something to consider if it will be a long time to figure out how to get a shelf on the bottome.
