Ornate Occasional Table

This table came to me in bad shape. Bad. Broken pieces, part of the plank top falling off and chipping veneer. You know who I called....the FIL (Father-in-law). He fixed it up perfectly.

Notice I finally ditched my point and shoot camera! No more blur!

I used the vinegar treatment to age the wood and then put one coat of poly on it for a little protection without making it look too nice. Shayne loves the pieces at her shop to look "crusty".

I dry brushed 2 coats of white on the apron and legs, heavily distressed it and then used Ebony stain to glaze.

My grandmother had that exact table only painted a minty green. I always dreamed about it looking exactly. as. you. painted. Love seeing it for real, great job, love that plank top too.

Love, loving that table with the gorgeus wood plank top. It is such beautiful wood and how you made it look even better.I love tables anyway and that one is so pretty and a bit different, to me anyway.
