Favorite Piece to Date

I have no idea what this originally was (I'm guessing a radio cabinet?) and I have no idea how old it is, but I absolutely LOVE the lines on this piece. The minute I saw it at Shayne's shop, I said "I hope I get to paint that!". I got my chance recently when she dropped it off.

We decided on the gray I used here and here. It's perfection in a can...I'm telling you.

After painting the first coat on all but the carved piece near the bottom, I stood back and realized that it really popped if I didn't paint it. I texted Shayne a picture and she agreed! Yipeee!

Oh the legs!

Perfect for a bar in an apartment or condo! The front drops down too!

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Well done!! I've painted some pieces with ASCP, but don't get the sheen u did on the legs. Did you do something besides wax? Yes, this would be a great porta-bar!

(I dropped by via MMS!)
