Picture Perfect: Vanity #2

My friend and her daughter dropped this off about 2 weeks ago. They'd been gifted this vanity along with this dresser that I recently posted.

Before:

The vanity will go in her daughter's (age 9) room and her daughter wanted "bright blue". I gave them a few choices...choices mom and daughter could live with, and then showed them this vanity that I'd done a few weeks prior. They both loved it, but the top on the vanity above wasn't salvageable, so we painted it. I used the same colors, but instead of glazing, I sealed it with clear wax.

Picture Perfect is the name of the Benjamin Moore blue that is used in this piece.

I wish I could say this one's for sale, but she belongs to a sweet 9 year old gal!

Two Tone Dresser Reveal

This little dresser has been just waiting for a makeover. I got it along with the bed that I made into a bench and this vanity that I love (but still hasn't sold!). It was a great bedroom set at one point, but must've been left in a humid place because the veneer was a MESS.

Before

After 2 coats of white paint, lightly sanding and waxing the top with a light tinted wax and glazing the body with dark walnut stain.

This one will be available through Carver Junk Company!

Victorian Console Cabinet

So the truth is that I'm not exactly sure what this was used as...and I'm not 100% sure it's from the Victorian era, but it sounded good, so I'm going with it.

I fell in love with this cabinet at a yard sale a few weeks ago and had to have it. I posted this picture on Facebook last week, asking people what they would use it as in their home. People came up with game storage, craft storage, liquor cabinet/bar. My favorite was someone who said "Just put a bottle of Merlot on it. That's all it needs". Love it!

I got a lot of great answers and ideas. And then I got to work.

I wish I could keep this, but she'll be for sale at Carver Junk Company starting this week. And I don't think she'll last long!

Petite Chest of Drawers

I recently painted this dresser for a friend. She got the dresser and a matching vanity FREE from another friend (lucky!).

My friend also dabbles in furniture refinishing, but she's also a yoga instructor, mom of 2 and is starting her own business...so time for painting is limited.

She brought me this beauty with the top already sanded down!

The hardware is to die for antique...so that stayed. Here is the dresser today!

I can't wait to see the vanity she's bringing when she picks this up later in the week!
