From Plastic to Fantastic with Furniture Wax...and a cabinet door repurposed

This entry isn't about a great piece of furniture, but I wanted to show you the magic that is Fiddes wax!

See these frames? They look plastic (though they are made of something a bit heavier) but have a great shape.

With a little white paint and Fiddes wax in stripped pine, here's what they look like now! Aged to perfection

I've had this cupboard/cabinet door in my garage for almost 2 years. I finished this sign yesterday for a friend but chickened out on giving it to her because it's super heavy and kind of big and I never want anyone to feel like they have to display something I give them. But I do think someone will like it....I love that quote!

What are you transforming this weekend?

Love the finish on the frames, and the sign is pretty cool too.

I LOVE the finish on those frames! Is Fiddes (SP?) wax different from others in some special way? I'm not a DIY'er so sorry if I sound dense. Oh and the sign is adorable too! Vanna/your newest follower
