I love Minnesota most of the time, but come mid January-mid March, I'm over it. And this year is no exception...we've had more snow than most years, and more is coming tomorrow. I miss garage sales. I miss spray painting.
Ok, pity party over.
To get the week started right, here are some befores and afters of some of my first rehabs that I have never shared before.
Before: drippy white glossy paint with faux denim seat
After: Semi gloss black paint with updated fabric
Before: Wobbly wooden chair with stained seat circa 1970
After: Rustoleum Colonial Red spray paint, distressed with walnut stain and a super fun fabric (this was my first sale at a local occasional shop!)
Before: Curb alert stool...great bones, not so great plastic type cushion
After: Semi-gloss black paint with some pretty fabric
Before: One of a pair of chairs...cute shape that needs updating
After: Heirloom white with floral fabric
And true to form, not the best pictures. But hopefully they are good enough to motivate you to hit Goodwill or another thrift shop this week :)

Sigh... all those chairs and stools. I'd be in heaven. You've done such an amazing job!
I ventured out today in the scorching heat to visit the goodwill store and managed to pick up a few goodies, but sadly no chairs. With scorching heat I mean 40°c (which would be about 109.4F). But school went back today so there was no stopping me! Mwoooahahahah...
Megs :)
I'm loving the benches. I've been on the lookout for one with no luck.
You do such awesome stuff! Love them all!
Wow - your chair renovations look so great! I love the fabrics you chose too!
Yep - definitely inspired to hit the thrift stores! :)
Love the benches and Sanibel too. I wish I could find one of those curb side. I can't wait for Spring, I miss the flea market and garage sales :(

I love all of the paint colors and fabrics that you choose - they look great! I have been in the mood lately for a Goodwill trip and now I am even more!
Love it! Can I ask what type of foam you used in each of those? I have been doing kind of the same type of projects, CHAIRS (http://charlotteannette.blogspot.com/2009/12/dreadful-pink-chair-makeover-part-3.html) and STOOL (http://charlotteannette.blogspot.com/2009/11/before-and-after-sad-vanity-bench.html)and I used slab foam covered in quilt batting. Is that your suggestion?
Love the fabrics you use Allison...They are so eclectic and vibrant.
Take care,
Lisa
