Country Hutch in Black and White

This might be my new favorite!

A good friend's sister brought this buffet and hutch to me. It was her grandmothers, and although in great condition (solid maple!), she wanted it updated. She had a vision of black and distressed/glazed white. I thought it would look nice...but now that it's completed, I love it!!

Here's how it started:

And here it is tonight. The pictures are ok, but the sun makes the back of the hutch look a little orangish.

Hope you love it, Maura!!

Oh-so-VERY-gorgeous!! My daughter now owns my Mum's hutch, almost identical to this one...am sending her your re-do to see if YOUR colour combination might be "the one" she'll love...I sure do, so thanks for the inspiration!

Way cute! I have just the top of a hutch with no bottom that I've had for over a year. Still trying to figure out what to do with it lol. I would love for you to share your talents at my VIP party today. http://designergarden.blogspot.com/2011/09/vip-party-26.html
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I love it. My hubby hates painted wood so all my furniture is in the old boring wood color (can you call that a color?) I wish I could paint because I would redo all my living room furniture
