Old World Looking Table

I found this table on Craigs List for FREE. Actually, she had three for free, but I could only fit 2 in my SUV because the kids were with me. So I took 2 and ran.

She was in rough shape, but I was in love with the wood inlays and wanted to salvage them if I could. This was after a lot of sanding on the top.

I worked hard to make the wood look great so I could stain it a dark walnut. And although I normally leave only the top dark when I do a two tone look, I wanted to salvage the drawer too...as it had the same pretty inlay. And here she is!

I'm super happy with this one. FYI, paint is BM Cape Cod Gray, distressed and glazed with provencial stain.

Wonderful job on that table! I really like that you kept the detailing on the top and the drawer from being painted. It makes it more unique.

very nice - you've got such a great eye for identifying attractive pieces of furniture and making them even prettier than they were when they were new! love that you retained the pretty veneer on the top and drawer front. It does have a time-gone-by look about it, especially with that hardware :) great job!!
