Not many words with this post, folks. I love this piece...I loved it unpainted but really love it now. So Victorian. So pretty.
Before:
After:
I painted the outside black, the inside white (it has 2 shelves but I was too excited to put them in) and I left the scrolling in it's original state. We debated on painting it, but I left it as is for now. What do you think?
Gorgeous!!! The black is sophisticated and beautiful! Please come by my party and link it up if you would - would love to have you there! Stacey of Embracing Change
Your piece looks beautiful dressed up in black and white! The details and curves show up nicely. I'm not sure what I'd do with the scrolly piece in front. I'd probably paint it if it were mine. I think it might be a tad more chic that way. Mary Alice
I love the touches of gold on this piece! This project would be perfect for our linky party featuring "Transformations" called Repurpose-Remodel-Reveal, I know our readers would love to see it too! (It starts tomorrow- Friday, March 16th 2012 at 7:00 am and reoccures every 1st and 3rd Friday)
Gorgeousness! THat is stunning - the black is a great choice! Thanks for linking up - please come back this Thursday as well! I would love to see you again! Stacey of Embracing Change
Allison - I love this! Do we live in the same city? I swear, I'll see something on Craiglist and think "I should buy that." and like, 2 weeks later you've redone it and made it awesome! I live in a suburb of KC, btw, and sorry if that's too nosy of me!!! I just thing we have similar tastes!! ~Lori

Allison, it's gorgeous. I love that you left the scrolling as is. The handles really pop against the black paint! Great job!
