This Week's Thrifty Finds

I'm beginning to think that my favorite part of this furniture flipping thing, is hunting for the thrifty treasures. This week was beyond amazing.

Two matching large (38 x 26) frames....$5 each! Can you guess what I'm going to do with them? The project is already in the works! Soooo excited.

A small dresser with a bowed front...it came complete with nests of spider eggs! $20 for this beauty!

And a beautiful, hand-carved, $3 stool that I turned from this:

How sweet is this bird?!

I know it's got a crack in the top, but for three bucks, I didn't care :)

What did you find out there this week??

Furniture is no where to be found here unless you want to pay sky high prices. Nothing for under $100. Love your pieces, they are all fabulous. Hugs, Marty

such great finds! good for you!

I found a great pink ceramic elephant, some old gas station numbers, a grouping of vintage billiard balls, and had a lady drop off a gorgeous tiger oak chest that she felt was a piece of "junk". She let me have it for FREE....and it is gorgeous!

love good hunting! :)

Have a great night!

Oooh.... what fab, fun finds! They'll all make such great transformations, I'm sure. You're right- what's a little crack when all you need is a little filler? Visiting from Rhoda's. ~ Sue

I absolutely adore that moroccan stool - lots of geometric interest! And no way - $20? For that sweet little chest of drawers? you are the lucky one. I'm very curious to see what you do with the frames. I have a mirror with a similar frame and would like to transform it somehow, but the little band of fabric on the interior puzzles me. Have a great week and thank you so much for stopping by and your sweet comment! ~diane

You really scored at the sales. I would have so much fun transforming these pieces. Hope you do too.

Unless I can sneak it into the house I can no longer bring furniture home. If he would only see the potential the way I can! I am going to have to share your posts with him.
Very persuasive.
