She found this beauty on Craigslist and dropped it off at my house. She wanted cup pulls, but no cup pulls existed that would fit the current hardware (pretty, ornate pulls, but not her style) drill holes, so I patched those up with wood filler. 5 coats of white, lots of distressing and dark walnut stain as glaze later....here she is, sans hardware. At this point in my painting career, I'm not confident enough to drill new holes in someone else's nice dresser. Her husband can do that. LOL! But imagine...oil rubbed bronze cup pulls on the bottom 6 drawers and 2 amber colored crystal knobs on each top drawer. To die for?? I think so!
Please excuse the lack of staging...she was just too big to move!

that looks awesome! i don't care if it isn't staged, i can tell how pretty it is and what a great job you did! but a watering can full of geraniums on top would look nice.
She's really pretty! I love the curves and the big hefty corners. What a beauty!
Ummm...Yes, I can imagine it! You did a fabulous job! 5 coats of white paint? wow! Make sure to get pics of it with the hardware once her husband finishes it!
PS,
How are you going to open the drawers now without the hardware?!
She is pretty! Too bad she's not yours!

It looks amazing! Can't wait to see it with the hardware on! :)
you did a really beautiful job - I'm sure your friend is delighted! I know I would be :)
Gorgeous!
I've been wanting a dark wax to use on furniture, but it's not available locally, so I'm going to try walnut stain like you used in this to see how it works for me.
Thank you for sharing.

Allison beastly but beautiful! And I know for sure you could drill those hardware holes, just do it! Love how you put your pieces up on spare pavers to paint, me too! Another well done piece.
gorgeous color!! Love the glazing, it's perfect!
Wait...you're supposed to stage photos ;-) Looks great!!!
The dresser turned out fabulous! Love the color and the glazing! I have one about that size that I've put off doing, you've inspired me!

The dresser is gorgeous and has great lines! Your finish made it fabulous!
Wow! It's really beautiful, and will look even more amazing with knobs! I totally understand about not wanting to drill those holes yourself, though ;-)
Can I please have your address? I have a few pieces you can do for me. The dresser really looks amazing and classic. I have a fear of drilling holes too. Stop by for a visit :)
This is really lovely, Allison! I love the final outcome and the shape is great. I'm hoping to find a dresser like this that I can paint to use as a buffet piece.
