Now, I am not a sewer. I could sew a straight line if my life depended on it, but that's where my skills end. So I was pretty stuck on the cushions. I hemmed and hawed for a few weeks until I tried to take the chair apart, and it turns out I could just recover the seat board and get rid of the cushions all together! Done and done!
I really like it...but I'm not 100% sold on the fabric. I have these other options too (poor lighting...sorry!)...what do you think?
Help a sister out?

Ooooh I love the light gray fabric...light gray and white look so classy together :)
Great little makeover, Allison! I guess the main decider on fabric is the style of the room it's going in, but I like the yellow or the gray choices in the picture myself. Good luck!
I love the blue piece.
great deal on the chair Allison. it's even better that it was in great condition. i like the red and white fabric best.
Nice chair Allison! Looks a lot like the one i found the other day, but better! Can't wait to see what you choose, but if it were me, i would go for the blue patterned fabric...that will look awesome! I actually have the red one on some pillows at my house and that's cute, too. Can't wait to see it - what a bargain!!!

Less than $4?! What a steal! It looks so much nicer now! I think the fabric on it now looks fine, but out of the other fabrics I think the yellow or red fabrics would look wonderful too!
Great deal and beautiful makeover! I like the red and the blue, the two on the right. Have fun! Can't wait to see the result!
I vote for the red and white. So cheerful!
I really like the one you already put on it, but I also like the blue one. I'm partial to blue though :).
i like the white with the red flowers....and i love the chair, beautiful find...
I like the red and white. I want one! Makes me look at those kind of chairs at GoodWill a little differently.
Allison the mustardy yellow one, any pattern will definitely compete with all that caning. You could add a small lumbar pillow in a coordinating stripe to break up all that caning. The white was a good choice, peach and gold not so much. Or get a drop cloth at HD, you'll be using it on every chair makeover.
Afraid that you will get so many different opinions you won't get a consensus! I love the blue in the upper right as the first choice and the red and white toile-ish as my second choice. Both colors will "pop" against the white. Love cane chairs!
i like the yellow one and the red and white one :)
go gray! =)
I like the blue one!!
i like the gray or the swirly blue, but it really depends on where you are putting it. where is it going and what are the colors in there? are you wanting casual and subtle, or are you wanting pop! do you want modern (swirly) or classic (the red and white)... just some things to consider!
it looks great! I love the snakeskin looking fabric and the blue. I think they would all look great just depends on the look you are going for.
Lovely chair... looks great in white. I would vote for the red and white!
OMG! What a fabulous find! **swoon** I love the blue and white fabric...would look so crisp and clean with the white paint on the chair! LOVE!
I like the blue one and the gray one!!!
Now, will you come over and help me pick a paint color? Please!!!
I like the red and white one or the blue! The chair is fabulous though!
Love this chair! I think I may have the "cousin" to this chair. Different style but has the lovely orange velvet and caning as well. This is what I did:http://hodgepodge-babselou.blogspot.com/2011/04/re-vamped-chair.html
First off, I want YOUR GW. Ours is so over priced I never bother anymore.
Second, I love the red and white fabric. I actually made an apron for a dear friend out of that not long ago! I wish I had more of it!

My personal favorite would be the red/white and then find/purchase a red pillow for the back:) Great job!
material with red and white!
